About This Position

Ultimate Heli is seeking a Junior Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full creditors and debtors function.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assist in other related ad-hoc and administrative functions
  • Capturing and reconciling full functions for both Debtors and Creditors
  • Allocating bank transactions on a daily basis
  • Complete reconciliations and address queries relating to various account balances (bank, debtors, creditors etc) as and when required.

The above list is not exhaustive duties and the incumbent will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the position.

Qualifications

  • 2 – 5 years experience in a financial environment
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Higher National Diploma would be beneficial

Safety Manager / Responsible Person: Aviation Safety Officer Part 145

About This Position

Operating both in South Africa and in sister African countries, currently operating a fleet of both fixed and rotary, our Company requires the service of Safety Manager /Responsible Person: Aviation Safety Officer. The Safety Manager/ Aviation Safety Officer Part 145 will initially be positioned at our AMO situated in Waterfall Logistics but will be required to travel to all base stations if and when required.

  • The safety officer will develop a comprehensive Annual Safety Plan.
  • The annual safety plan must incorporate a Safety Management System (SMS) that will allow the company to reach the stated standards, goals, and objectives of safety in conjunction with the company business plan.

Essential Job Functions

The Aviation Safety Officer will be responsible for:

  • Interacting with engineers, operational personnel, senior managers and departmental heads throughout the organization. The ASO should also foster positive relationships with regulatory authorities, agencies and service providers outside the organization.
  • Ensuring that the Employer and relevant entities comply with the provisions of the Civil Aviation Offences Act No 10 of 1972, as amended and the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1981, as amended.
  • Ensuring that an effective Emergency Response Plan (ERP) is in place which includes the actions to be followed by relevant personnel.
  • The establishment and maintenance of a reporting system to ensure the timely collection of information related to potential hazards, incidents and accidents that may adversely affect safety.
  • The identification of latent hazards and carry out risk management analyses of those hazards.
  • The investigation, analysis and identification of the root cause of all hazards or the contributing factors of incidents and accidents identified under the SMS to ensure the operator has adequate mitigation in place.
  • The establishment and maintenance of a safety data system, either by electronic or by other means, to monitor and analyze trends in hazards, incident and accidents.
  • The maintenance of a continuous monitoring system that evaluates the results of corrective actions with respect to hazards, incidents and accidents.
  • The monitoring of the concerns of the Civil Aviation Industry in respect of safety and their perceived effect on the AMO.
  • The co-ordination of the organization’s aviation safety programme and all related safety matters.
  • The co-operation with the training section with regard to safety training of technical personnel, as applicable.
  • The supervision of aircraft handling regarding matters related to safety in co-operation with ground support services.
  • The investigation of all incidents and accidents involving the organization’s aircraft, equipment and property, including fire and emergency procedures.
  • The actioning and distribution of accident, incident and other occurrence reports.
  • The development and maintenance of a mandatory occurrence reporting scheme.
  • The establishment of an emergency plan in the event of an accident, which includes the actions to be followed by relevant personnel.
  • Promulgation of flight safety bulletins to all staff within the organization.
  • Conducting meetings with all relevant personnel regarding safety matters.
  • Conducting regular safety audits.
  • Conduct SMS Training and General Awareness
  • Attend external, including regulatory audits and assist with corrective actions
  • Willing to travel to Line Stations

  • Computer skills (MS Office) Completed an approved aviation security course related to aviation security.

HUMS Analyst

About This Position

We currently have a vacancy for a HUMS Analyst within the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) in Aberdeen.

Essential Job Functions

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:

Second line Analysis of HUMS data for the entire OHS fleet producing detailed reports;

Provide direct support to the Part-145 organisation in relation to all Transmission/Rotor health monitoring and associated HUMS avionic issues;

Manage OEM/TCH communications in relation to HUMS;

Build and configuration of HUMS ground station equipment;

Assist with HUMS training of Part-145 Staff;

Work closely with the other members of the CAMO;

Be available on-call as part of an On-call support roster.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role the successful candidate should have:

Minimum Part 66 License, HND level qualification in Engineering/Technical Field or 5 years’ experience in a similar Aviation role;

A solid understanding of Vibration analysis and condition monitoring, BINDT VA Gen CAT 1 or higher qualification advantageous;

OEM/TCH specific HUMS training on S-92A, H175 and AW139 would be advantageous.

Basic Knowledge of signal analysis (Frequency/Spectra);

Excellent computer skills (MS Office apps, basic coding, SQL databases);

Good communication and interpersonal skills;

Proactive and problem solving attitude;

Ability to communicate at all levels.
